Fido is a quality brand. These reusable glass jars have superior quality wire bales, are made of annealed (strengthened glass) and contain no BPA and no lead. Don’t fall for inferior quality glass jars made in China. Glass lids preclude issues with rusting. All jars have wide openings for tidy, easy filling.
Fido jars can be used with or without an airlock. If fermenting without an airlock you will need to "burp" your ferment in the early stages of the ferment when it is very active. To create the perfect anaerobic fermenting environment we stock fido jars fitted with either the Fido Pickler Airlock.
